Our hostess and server were both very friendly and attentive. Our food came out quickly! Everything was as expected (compared to many other keg visits) except the mashed potatoes which are usually my favourite. They seemed quite dense and had an odd colour and texture? We were able to try their fall feature dessert which is a sticky toffee pudding and it was quite good, I would recommend! We did not require a reservation as we came just before 5pm on a cold Friday!

An all around great The Keg steakhouse! Lovely dark moody lighting, comfortable and clean seating, nice private layout, friendly staff, and most importantly tasty steaks! You'll find a variety of steaks and seafood here, and they all tasted great when I visited. The lobster tails are cooked to perfection, as are the steaks. I got a medium rare sirloin and it was perfect. The broccolinis were also soft and delicious! As expected, the prices are quite high but that shouldn't come as a surprise in a restaurant like this! It's great, come check this place out in Banff if you're just craving a nice steak or a cozy dinner!
One of the best steaks we’ve had in a long time! Both the baseball sirloin and rib eye were cooked to perfection! Garlic shrimp appetizer size was disappointing being only 6 shrimp but they tasted sooo good!
Our second visit, this time in Banff. They offer some delicious appetizers. The service was excellent, the lady was very kind and helpful. It was my fiancée birthday and the dessert was on the house, such a lovely surprise. Steaks were great as well. Absolutely will visit again!
Friendly staff, but the service was a bit slow. Took us a while to order. Took a while to get our check. Half rack rib was mediocre. Should have ordered the prine rib. Sirloin and lobster combo was the hit. The salmon was okay. For the price, it was a bit overrated.
3.5 stars. Note: This location does not provide the free dessert for Birthdays like other locations. Food itself was decent overall for everything we ordered, consistent with other Keg locations. Service wise, I’d say this is the worst Keg location of all the spots I’ve tried due to a lack of a waitlist. We were a group of 9 with a dog, meaning we cannot sit inside and must sit at the patio. When we went to ask the interior host, we were told to ask the patio host as they’re managed almost separately. When we reached the patio host, we were told there is no way for us to put our names down (ie. it’s only if at the moment you ask and a table is available, then you can be seated). It was only by chance that when we swung by a second time, we saw available tables and asked again, we were then seated. We also mentioned a few times that it is our friend’s birthday but no free dessert is offered.
Absolutely beautiful space, Italian food and top notch service. Located in Caribou Lodges and Spa on Banffshire main road. Elevated dining experience. We were seated at a nice quiet space which was comfortable. The menu includes good options for all. What we ordered off the spring menu: Entree- let’s call it lobster Mornay - absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly with cheese sauce and garlic. Main- Eye fillet cooked perfectly with twice cooked potatoes Very pleased with this place and the price wasn’t too bad either. Would recommend you make a reservation so not to miss out.
